  Convictions:

I have quite a few favorite passages, but when I think of the purpose of our congregation, I like what the apostle Paul says in II Cor 4:13-15:

It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

In three short verses he lists the things I believe are important for a congregation’s focus: actively speaking to others the basis of our faith - Jesus, our Lord, raised from the dead, offering His marvelous grace to those who believe!

Background: I have been an elder at the Woodbury church since 1995 and have lived in Minnesota since 1993 having grown up in the Southwestern portion of the United States. I have two undergraduate degrees, one in Greek and Hebrew from Harding University and another in German from the University of Texas.

I also received an MBA shortly after moving to Minnesota and am a Senior IT Director at UnitedHealth Group. Our original plans after college were to do mission work in Europe, however God had other plans! We are honored that God has allowed us the opportunity to serve at the Woodbury church.

Wife & family: I was blessed to meet my wife, Ann Tabor, at Harding University. She is from Atlanta, Ga. After leaving Harding, we lived in Austin and Beaumont, Texas and Tulsa, Ok., before moving to Minnesota. Ann enjoys teaching at church and substitute teaches in the public schools.

We have been married for over 26 years and have four awesome children: Mike (currently attending Harding and just recently married), Karen (also currently attending Harding), Matt, and Mark.
