Convictions: |
I believe that our greatest calling in this life is to
draw close to God, and to understand that he also wants a deeper relationship
with us, even to the point of wanting to call us his friends. Jesus tells his disciples in John 14: 13-14: “Greater
love has no one than to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends
if you do what I command.” This journey of reconciliation and striving for a
deeper relationship with God is only made possible by the saving work of Jesus
on the cross on our behalf.
We were not made to go on this journey alone. He provides
us his Spirit and has given us his word as a roadmap directing us back to him. We
also need other Christians to go with us, to encourage us, to teach us, and to
serve. This is where we learn how to be obedient to God and follow his
commands. I have been blessed to be a part of loving fellowships in my
Christian walk and am especially bless to be a part of the Woodbury Church of
Christ. If you are new to the community
or have lived here for years, please join us in our journey as we seek to draw
ever closer to our Lord.

Background: |
I grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Purdue
University where I became a Christian through the local campus ministry. After
graduating, I moved to the East Coast and began my career in the Agricultural
industry. My wife & I were blessed to find a new church in NJ were we
served for a few years. In the mid 80s we moved to St. Louis when I went to
work for Purina Mills. We lived in St. Louis until 2005 where we worshiped and
served at the McKnight Road Church of Christ. We began worshiping at Woodbury
when we moved to Minnesota.

Wife & family: |
Beth and I are childhood sweethearts. We
first met each other in high school and were married after we graduated from
Purdue. Beth has been my greatest blessing and partner in our journey. We have
3 children and a son in law. Holly, our oldest, is married and lives in
Nashville. Kyle and Amy are our twins and both live in Texas. My family and my
church have been the way that God has chosen to bless my life so thoroughly!
