The Details
Administrative Assistant for the Woodbury Church
Part-time, 15–20 hours/week (flexible but consistent schedule preferred)
Position Overview
The Admin Assistant is the communications and organizational hub for
the Church. This role supports the church’s mission of helping everyone take their next step closer to Jesus by keeping information clear, timely, and accessible, and by ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
The Administrative Assistant works closely with ministry staff, using good judgment to
manage daily tasks, and seeks guidance when needed. While much of the work is task-
oriented, the position also plays a relational role in creating a warm and welcoming
atmosphere in the church office.
Key Responsibilities
• Compile and distribute weekly prayer updates.
• Prepare and send the weekly communication
• Create social media updates for church events and ministries. Manage social
media messages and requests.
• Maintain and update membership records and the church directory.
• Prepare the weekly email newsletter in coordination with ministry staff.
• Send reminders to Sunday volunteers (communion speakers, greeters) to
confirm schedules.
• Maintain the master church calendar, ensuring building use is scheduled and
communicated to staff and ministries.
• Assist in coordinating logistics for special events (e.g., meals, vendor bookings,
equipment rentals, flowers for funerals, etc.)
Technology & Presentation Support
• Weekly, create or update the announcement loop in ProPresenter for Sunday
Morning services.
• Anticipate and order office supplies as needed.
• Keep the office environment organized and stocked for staff use.
Qualifications
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable using or learning new technology platforms.
• Able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative spirit.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
• Friendly demeanor with a willingness to support the ministry team.

Success Indicators
The Administrative Assistant will be considered successful when:
• Weekly prayer updates and newsletters are accurate and sent on time.
• The church calendar is consistently up to date.
• Volunteer reminders are sent with enough lead time to avoid last-minute
changes.
• Office supplies are available as needed.
• Communications reflect the church’s tone and values.
